What was the highlight of your week?

I’ve had a great week this week, starting off with Halloween. My husband dressed our daughter up as a scary princess and covered her face with make-up and used most of my bottle of mousse to get her hair to stand on end. Her kindy weren’t that surprised when she walked in – they’re used to her impromptu dressing up – last time she insisted on wearing a tiger suit and saying ‘rah!’ repeatedly until all the kids got bored.

On Tuesday we had a lovely time at the races at Randwick, with thanks to Commonwealth Bank’s Women In Focus who hosted a number of Business Chicks members.

The CBA crew spoiled us with a beautiful marquee, awesome food and drinks, great networking and prizes too. There were a few winners (alas, not me – I was down the only $20 I bet – big spender!) Business Chicks girls at the races

During the week, we also reached 10,000 people in our Facebook community which was just another excuse for us to crack open a bottle of champagne to celebrate. Thanks so much to everyone who has liked us there – 10,000 is a big milestone which we were stoked to reach.

We’re gearing up for our Sydney and Melbourne events with Deborra-lee Furness next week so if you’re coming along, I’ll look forward to seeing you!

One of my articles was published in a magazine this week. Free PR is definitely the highlight of my week!

The article was about how to take photos for your website.

Highlight of the week was taking a great photo of a rainbow lorikeet on my balcony. Oh and getting a distinction on my first uni assignment in 20 years!

The highlight of my week was my “Aha moment”. Thanks to the fabulous Matt Church and Lisa Messenger. I am busy outsourcing and finding the right people to take me on the next stage of my journey. And now the sun is shining and we are getting ready for my daughter’s dance recital – cant get much better than that!
