300kms in 30 days

I’ve just had a crazy idea. This month I’m going to run/walk 300kms in 30 days.
This idea was inspired by one of my personal trainers from Vision Personal Training who has just completed 1000kms in October. I’ve watched as she set the goal and then engaged everyone around her to complete it. Massive.
I also got a shot in the arm from one of the Business Chicks speakers, BRW Rich Lister Rowena Szeszeran-McEvoy, who reaffirmed that be to a serious individual you need to have your heart pumping and the blood flowing around your body each day. I already love exercising, but pounding out a minimum of 10kms per day is taking it to a new level.
Why am I doing this?
But really, the only reason I’m doing this is to show myself I can. One of the things that Rowena talks about is self-leadership and not blaming your circumstances on anyone other than yourself. Now I know this, but lately some of that ‘blaming external sources’ language has crept in. You know it. “Oh it’s hard for me to exercise as I have a baby and three businesses and no time”. Or, “my work keeps me so busy that I just don’t have the time”.
Well news flash. We all have the same amount of time and if I really want to do this (and I’ll be going public with my progress so you can all keep me accountable) I’ll make the time. I’ll strap Milla to my back or pop her in the pram and just go for it. I’ll get up 30 minutes earlier each day and knock a few kilometres over then. I’ll walk the dogs a few more times each week. I’ll catch up with my friends and do some laps of a park instead of being in a café and I’ll get my hubby off the couch and encourage him to run with me.
Out of my comfort zone
